FAREWELL NIBBLES!
Nibbles the Texel ewe, grazing, before some kind soul endowed her with an English flag, in support of the team over there in Dohar.
Sadly, she is no longer with us, having retuned to Hexham Abbey to meet the rest of the “flock” before taking part in the “Festival of Flame” – part of the welcome being given to the return of the Lindisfarne Gospels for a short stay in the North East.
The Gospels may be seen in the Laing Art Gallery, Newcastle – as close to Holy Island as they are ever likely to come!
Incidentally, the flags will be returned to Lowick after the festival, and we will endeavour to return them to their owner.
