WHICH IS BEST INTERNET PROVIDER?

One or two new residents in Lowick have been asking us which is the best local provider for internet connectivity in the area. With so many companies competing for our business we wondered if anyone out there would like to share their experiences of good service and speed of connection and installation, to help our new friends make up their minds.

    Best ever Toucansurf (part of ITL group but no longer operating think part of TalkTalk now), BT Connect at the moment good internet/ phone service with whole house signal guarantees but customer service issues and long processes if there’s been a problem, Alncom ok – would be happy to support them as a local company but too many service, signal and reliability issues; the infrastructure isn’t robust enough. I hate to say it but Sky combined with SkyQ – inbuilt signal boosters in the QBox gave a perfect service with hardly any issues. Cost/ principles and ethical issues with Sky and fell out with them over SkyMobile issues.
