COUNCIL AGREES ITS BUDGET PRECEPT FOR 2022
The Parish Council has agreed to request a precept from the County Council of £6000 for the next financial year.
Reviewing its spending fro the last 12 months showed that spending on its usual responsibilities had amounted to approximately £5000. Special projects, including the Playpark and its new equipment had been made, and these had been covered by Grants from the Community Foundation. Total spending, including these items, came to IRO £15,300.
Normal expenditure in any year includes the salary of the Clerk, Inspections and Insurance on the Playpark, Insurance and Maintenance of Council property, and expenses related to awards and donations. Cllr Colin Hardy advised that a significant sum be included as a contingency in the light of new requirements that emergency planning might impose, and to provide reserves, should any of the equipment owned need repair or replacement.
