HERITAGE GROUP MEETINGS RETURN

Posted on Updated on

Lowick Heritage Group provide details of their first meeting in the Village Hall. As you can see from the details below, those who wish to remain at home for the while should be able to access the meeting via Zoom.
 PAUL LANGDALE, H.G. SECRETARY,  WRITES
Hello Everyone,
Please make a note of this date and time:
Monday 13th September 2021 at 7.30pm
I’m excited to announce that we’re back!  After what seems such a long time we are finally able to recommence our ‘live’ presentations in Lowick Village Hall.
This year we are privileged to have Dr. Margaret Collin join us as our first speaker. The topic is :
‘Old Melrose: Rediscovering St. Cuthbert’s Anglo-Saxon Monastery and Medieval Pilgrimage Chapel’.
As always the September presentation is preceded by our very brief AGM. This year we are sorry to announce that Julie Gibbs has left our committee and she will be very difficult to replace. If you feel that you would like to become a member of the LHG Committee I would be very pleased to hear from you.
I’m aware that some among us, who for all the right reasons, are a little reluctant to venture into public areas after the C19 restrictions. I can assure you that we are following the Covid 19 safe rules set by the Village Hall Committee, however, it’s possible that subject to some conditions we may be able to stream Dr. Collin’s talk via the Zoom platform for those who are unable to join us. I’ll send out an update about that before the date.
All the best for now
Paul
