ICY PATHS & SALT BINS
The map shows the location of the FOUR SALT BINS in Lowick. If you need to salt your path, or the pavement outside your home, please take a bucket along and help yourself – the County Council has provided these bins for this purpose.
We have had a number of enquiries about keeping pathways clear, and can confirm that the County Council does not do this in villages.
A volunteer snow warden scheme was launched last year by Northumberland, but there were no volunteers, and then the pandemic forced everyone back in their homes, and changed the priorities of local groups
Snow warden volunteers would have received a kit to help them carry out their tasks. Let us know if you would like to join this scheme.
