Linda Bankier writes:
This weekend (13 – 15 September) is Heritage Open Days in Berwick. There are over 35 events taking place, a mixture of open buildings; walks; talks and exhibitions. I’ve attached a list of all the events and further information can be found on www.heritageopendays.org.uk or on the Visit Berwick website.
There will be lots going on in the Town Hall on Saturday and Sunday. In the Guildhall, you can view photographs of Berwick taken in 1959 as well as find out about the history of the building. Vote for your favourite “Wanted Poster” . Children’s activities will take place all weekend and there is also the opportunity to visit the Old Gaol ( Sat & Sun : 1 – 3 ) The Council Chamber will host a number of talks and films ( see attached list)
All the events are free and a list is attached. There is something for everyone and so, please do come along and support this local event which is run by volunteers.
