COMMUNITY FUND BACKS ALL THE BIDS!
At its April meeting, the Community Fund Advisory Panel voted to accept all the bids that local groups had put to it.
Meeting at the Village Hall at Hetton Steads, the panel recommended 7 proposals. These have now been approved and are announced by the Community Foundation, which administers the annual donation from EDF ER.
This year is the Fund was able to distribute £69,256 – which is more than the original agreement, thanks to index linking. The Panel usually agrees to spend half of the annual budget at each of its two meetings.
Successful in Lowick this time were the Parish Church of St John the Baptist, which received £13,200 for its organ restoration fund, and Lowick Heritage Group which was awarded £648 for a preliminary environmental assessment for its Lime Kiln Restoration Project.

Drop in for more Money!
Local groups are reminded to consider applying for financial support for any capital items that they might need. The Foundation hopes to hold a session shortly to encourage and guide likely s is applicants. This is on 5 July, for an information evening to be held at Lowick Village Hall 5-7pm, this will be a drop in session for people to come along and find out about the Fund.
