MOIRA METCALF
The sudden death of Moira Metcalf after a courageous battle with cancer has left the whole village saddened.
Moira whose friendly and outgoing spirit was undiminished by her illness was loved and admired by everyone. That she and husband Michael went on looking after the Village Hall without a moment’s hesitation is a testimony to the energy and commitment both Metcalfs always showed.
When the Parish Council presented the 2017 Community Award to husband and wife, it wanted to acknowledge the value of the Metcalf team, as well as wishing to present Moira with an acknowledgement of her own work for everyone.
Moira, who was only 52, leaves husband Michael, and children Paul and Emma. Our thoughts and sympathy will always be with them.
