TWENTY’S PLENTY?

Posted on Updated on

Lowick First School is engaging with the issue of speeding through the village, which has been a continual source of concern for many years. Teacher, Mr Duncan Mitchell, has set up a school council which had a meeting yesterday which brought up speeding through the village.

The children have set up a petition around the message: “TWENTY’S PLENTY” and they have all signed it, together with staff and some of their parents.  They have suggested taking this  to church on Sunday (and a child’s parent has agreed to take it with them), into the shop and the pubs – so they ask if you see one out and about will you please sign.

The children are very excited to try and get involved in this important issue, and Mr Mitchell is planning a visit to the Parish Council to present their feelings, hopefully with one or two of the children.
