Water, Water! Call for a Councillor!!
As Northumbria Water packs away its traffic lights, we were reminded by Julie Gibbs at the last Heritage Meeting how water and sewage have always been on the agenda for Lowick – especially in the 1890s.
In those days our roads were also often farm tracks, pitted with ruts and deep potholes. You might be forgiven for thinking that nothing has changed! The big difference is that the County Council has a link on its website to report potholes. And as we know a reported pothole that injures your car renders the Council liable for the repair – so please report any you encounter – see the LINKS page of Lowick.Live.
You could contact the Parish Council, and it will certainly report them on your behalf, after its monthly meeting.
Better still – stand for the Council and get elected on May 4th! Click the link below for an application pack – but hurry, the deadline for nominations is fast.
